been so long, back again

OMG! It has been over a year since I have written on my blog.  My life has been a whirlwind of excitement and changes.  Since last post I have graduated from college, became a Special Education teacher, been on two cruises, got pregnant and had a beautiful baby girl! Kitty is now a big sister to little Zumpkin.  I am currently out of work on maternity leave and I will be making my appearance back to school at the end of October.  I am a little concerned about how I look when I go back.  I hope that I can lose some more weight and fit better into my clothes before I walk through the threshold of education.  I am not worried about the adults talking about me, but the kids.  I am currently stationed at a middle school and those kids are a little harsh with their comments.  They say whatever is on their minds so I need to step my game up.  I got away with some stuff with my style when I was pregnant because I was pregnancy.  They will not let me get away with anything now!!!! I also wanted to start a new blog because I am a first year teacher and wanted to have a place where I could share weekly updates of my interesting adventures with the kids.  This blog will be more of a weekly place of life updates that will not focus too much on my work.  I will try to update each on a weekly basis.  I will leave you with some exciting pictures of the past year and a half.

the good life

Nothing makes me happier than getting the things that I have been working so hard to obtain. Love was without a vehicle for about a year and it was very tough having just one mode of transporation for the both of us. Well, the year ended miraculously with him getting a much better vehicle than he would have hoped for. Nothing can be better than being able to drive to work and knowing that I will not have to wait outside for someone to come and pick me up.

People seem to be going bonkers because v-day is right around the corner. Who really cares???!!! If the person you love does not love you the rest of the year, does it really matter? I for one do not celebrate the dreaded madness, mayhem and foolishness of the "love" day. If someone even gives me a rose I think I will be sick. Although my favortie color is red. I usuallly do get good deals on all the accessories after the day is over. I got a great LOVE bookholder thingy a couple of years ago.

I will be cruising in appromately 2 months for the first time. We have not vacayed in a long time. I think the last time I went on a long vacay was in like 2002. Never again. It is my duty to make sure that I take at least 2 weeks off a year to go somewhere and spend a ridicolous amount of money on food and shoes. Why not? I make good money and I work at least 40 hours a week. Most times more. I deserve to be able to treat me and my family to some rest and relaxation.

P.S. Love thought it would be nice to celebrate the day we got in engaged with an upgraded wedding set. He done gone and took Beyonce's words literally!!! LOL!!!
